US utilities injected 53 billion cubic feet (bcf) of natural gas into storage for the week ending July 4, bringing total inventories to 3.006 trillion cubic feet (tcf). This matches the five-year average build for the same period (2020–2024) and compares to a 61 bcf injection during the same week last year. As a result, gas stockpiles now stand 6.1% above the five-year seasonal average.
