Crude oil inventories in the US fell by 3.341 million barrels in the week ended March 21, 2025, above market expectations of a 1.6 million draw, data from the EIA Petroleum Status Report showed. Also, crude stocks at the Cushing, Oklahoma, delivery hub fell by 0.755 million barrels, after a 1.009 million decrease. Gasoline stocks fell by 1.446 million, more than forecasts of a 1.6 million draw. Distillate stockpiles, which include diesel and heating oil, dropped by 0.421 million barrels, less than the consensus of a 1.5 million decrease.
