US business inventories rose by 0.2% month-over-month in July 2025, matching June's pace and coming in line with market expectations. This marked the second consecutive monthly increase in inventories. Manufacturers' inventories increased by 0.3%, while fore retailers they rose 0.2%, and merchant wholesalers inventories ticked up by 0.1%. On a yearly basis, total business inventories went up 1.5% in July, compared to the initial estimate of a 1.6% rise.
