Total average weekly earnings in the UK which includes bonuses rose 5% year-on-year to GBP 722 per week in the three months to May 2025, the least in eight months, compared with an upwardly revised 5.4% in the previous period and forecasts of 5%. Wage growth eased for the private sector (4.9%, the lowest since the three months to September 2024, vs 5.3%) and the public sector (5.3% vs 5.5%). Adjusted for inflation, total earnings grew by 1%.
