Turkey's annual inflation rate slowed to 32.87% in October 2025 from 33.29% in the previous month, coming in below market expectations of 33.2%. It marked the lowest reading since November 2021, as prices moderated in the majority of sub-indices, particularly for food and non-alcoholic beverages (34.87% vs 36.06% in September), housing (50.96% vs 51.36%), clothing and footwear (7.98% vs 9.8%), furnishings and household equipment (28.9% vs 29.32%), health (32.06% vs 35.21%), communications (19.35% vs 23.2%), education (65.69% vs 66.1%), hotels, cafes and restaurants (33.78% vs 33.91%), and miscellaneous goods and services (30.13% vs 31.6%). Meanwhile, costs accelerated for transport (27.33% vs 25.3%), alcoholic beverages and tobacco (27.56% vs 24.49%), and recreation and culture (25.32% vs 24.85%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose 2.55% in October, easing from an eight-month high of 3.23% in September and below market forecasts of 2.83%.
