The Swiss procure.ch PMI increased to 49.6 in February 2025 from 47.5 in January, beating forecasts of 48. The reading showed the manufacturing sector is now close to growth, as improvements were seen in production (+0.8 to 49.3), orderbook (+3.7 to 49.6), purchasing volume (+0.8 to 47.6), sales stocks (+0.7 to 48) and employment (+2.2 to 49.3). Also, purchasing prices increased (+3.1 to 52.9) and delivery times went up (+1.2 to 51.9). Meanwhile, more companies expect an increase in protectionist measures in the next twelve months than in January or December.
