Sweden's Swedbank Manufacturing PMI climbed to 54.2 in April 2025 from 53.6 in the previous month. This marked the ninth consecutive month that the index remained in the growth zone and the strongest reading since May 2022, mainly driven by continued expansion in new orders (55.8 vs 53.9 in March) and improved delivery times (50.4 vs 49.2). On the pricing front, the index for suppliers' raw material and input prices fell to a six-month low of 50.9 in April from 55.6 in the previous month, largely due to declining global commodity prices and a stronger krona. However, production (58.0 vs 59.2), employment (52.9 vs 53.0), and inventory stocks (51.6 vs 51.8) all exerted a slight drag on the PMI.
