South Korea's foreign exchange reserves went up to $415.9 billion in August 2024, from $413.5 billion in the prior month. It was the highest reading since March mostly due to increases in Securities which rose to $369.4 billion from $367 billion in July. SDRs also increased ($15.2 billion from $14.9 billion in July), while deposits decreased to $22 billion from $122.4 billion, and the IMF reserve position remained steady at $4.4 billion.
