Slovenia’s annual inflation rate picked up to 2.7% in December 2025 from a five-month low of 2.3% in November. Main upward pressure came from higher inflation for housing and utilities (4.3% vs 4% in November), furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance (0.8% vs 0%), and clothing and footwear (1.1% vs 0.2%). Inflation also rose for recreation and culture (2.1% vs 0.5%) and miscellaneous goods and services (2.6% vs 0.9%). Meanwhile, price growth eased for food and non-alcoholic beverages (4.5% vs 5%), while transport costs continued to decline (-0.7% vs -0.4%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices were unchanged, the same as in the previous month. The harmonized CPI rose 2.6% year-on-year, following a 2.4% gain in November. On average, Slovenia’s inflation rate for 2025 stood at 2.4%.
