The trade surplus in Qatar narrowed slightly to QAR 18.4 billion in December 2024 from QAR 18.7 billion in the corresponding month of the previous year. Imports soared by 21.6% year-on-year to QAR 12.8 billion, while exports rose at a much softer pace of 6.7% to QAR 31.2 billion. Considering the whole period of 2024, the country recorded a trade surplus of QAR 215.6 billion.
