Paraguay's trade deficit widened to USD 422.99 million in March 2025, up from USD 325.11 million deficit in the same month last year. Exports rose by 2.9% year-on-year to USD 893.52 million, primarily due to sharp increases in shipments of agricultural goods (25.6%), and manufactured products (10.4%), while energy and fuel declined (-14.3%). Meanwhile, imports rose by 10.3% to USD 1,316.5 million, driven by increased purchases of consumer goods (30.0%) and capital goods (15.8%), while intermediate goods imports decreased (-16.6%).
