Lithuania’s trade deficit narrowed to EUR 0.370 billion in June 2025 from EUR 0.437 in the same month last year, as exports rose much faster than imports. Exports grew 3.2% year-on-year to EUR 2.999 billion, primarily due to increased sales for ground vehicles (15.7%) and fertilizers (61%). The top export destinations were Latvia (12.3%), Poland (10.3%), and Germany (9%). At the same time, imports gained 0.7% to EUR 3.369 billion, attributed to higher purchases of ground vehicles (22.4%) and electrical machinery and equipment and parts thereof (23.3%). Among trading partners, imports increased from Poland (13.8%), Germany (12.8%), and Latvia (8.1%). For the first half of the year, the country posted a EUR 3.155 billion shortfall, with exports decreasing by 0.1% while imports climbed by 6.2%.
