The annual inflation rate in Kazakhstan edged down to 8.3% in September 2024, down from 8.4% in the previous month. It was the lowest reading since June 2021, as prices eased for food (5.1% vs 5.5% in August) and non-food products (7.6% vs 7.7%), while it remained unchanged for paid services (13.6%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices advanced by 0.4%, following a 0.6% increase in the preceding period.
