The Italian consumer confidence index increased to 96.5 in May 2025, from a one-and-a-half-year low of 92.7 in April and beating market forecasts of 93. This improvement is reflected across all components, particularly in the general economic situation. The economic climate rose sharply to 97.5 from 89.6 in April, the personal climate climbed to 96.1 from 93.9, the current climate increased to 98.6 from 95.4, and the future climate advanced to 93.7 from 89.1.
