The National Bank of Hungary held its key interest rate at 6.50% for the eighth consecutive meeting in May, in line with market expectations. Retail trade rose slightly in March, while consumer confidence remained low. The NBH reaffirmed its commitment to tight monetary policy to anchor inflation expectations and ensure long-term price stability.
