Foreign exchange reserves in Hong Kong fell to $416.4 billion in February 2025 from $421.5 billion in the previous month, marking its largest amount since July 2024. The amount represented more than five times the currency in circulation, or about 38% of Hong Kong dollar M3. Including unsettled foreign exchange contracts, the foreign currency reserve assets amounted to $415.9 billion.
