Georgia’s trade deficit narrowed to USD 737.3 million in September 2025 from USD 828.5 million in the corresponding month of the previous year. This marked the smallest trade deficit since March 2024. Year-on-year, exports increased by 14.2% to USD 703.2 million, while imports fell by 0.3% to USD 1,443.5 million. Over the first nine months of the year, the country’s trade deficit widened to USD 8,242.3 million from USD 7,423.1 million in the same period a year earlier, as imports rose 9.7%, outpacing the 7.7% rise in exports.
