Official reserve assets in France rose to €292.59 billion at the end of January 2025, the largest value since at least 1972, up from €275.08 billion in December. This represents an increase of €17.51 billion, led by rises in gold reserves (€211.431 billion vs €196.745 billion), foreign currency reserves (€33.542 billion vs €31.136 billion) and claims on the IMF (€41.029 billion vs €40.63 billion). Other reserve assets on the other hand, fell slightly (€6.588 billion vs €6.565 billion).
