Consumer prices in Fiji fell 1.4% year-on-year in November 2025, following a 3.4% decline in the previous month, marking the tenth consecutive month of deflation. It was also the softest pace of deflation since June, driven by slower decreases in food and non-alcoholic beverages (-3.9% vs -8.4% in October), transport (-4.3% vs -6.2%), and housing (-1.6% vs -2.5%), while clothing and footwear remained unchanged at -3.9%. On the other hand, recreation and culture prices declined at a faster pace (-1.6% vs -1.3%), while furnishings, household equipment, and routine maintenance fell 0.5% after rising 0.8% in October. In contrast, upward price pressures were observed in alcoholic beverages and tobacco (3.8% vs 3.9%), education (0.5% vs 0.5%), and miscellaneous goods and services (5.7% vs 5.4%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose 0.5% in November, rebounding from a 0.2% decline in October.
