The Euro Area consumer confidence indicator edged down by 0.2 points to -15.3 in June 2025 from -15.1 in May, in line with preliminary estimates. In the broader European Union, sentiment decreased by 0.3 points to -14.8. Although consumers were significantly less pessimistic about their country’s overall economic outlook, their plans for major purchases over the next 12 months declined. Additionally, their views of both past and expected household financial situations worsened slightly.
