Ecuador's trade surplus was $791.07 million in March 2025, compared to $454.77 million in the same month of 2024, marking the fifteenth consecutive monthly surplus. Exports increased by 12.63% year-on-year to $3,148.49 million, of which $1,496.2 million are in shipments of traditional products (37.84%), with sharp growth noted in shrimp (27.76%), Banana (22.69%), and cacao (103.21%), while non traditional products (10.77% to $919,96 million). Meanwhile, imports edged 0.72% higher to $2,357.42 million, mainly due to increased purchases of consumer goods (2.54%), raw materials (6.82%) and capital goods (13.23%).
