Denmark’s seasonally adjusted goods and services trade surplus increased to a record peak of DKK 45.8 billion in December 2024 from a downwardly revised DKK 33.5 billion in the previous month. Exports surged by 8.3% month-on-month to a new high of DKK 193.7 billion, while imports grew at a much slower 1.7% to DKK 147.9 billion. Considering the whole year 2024, the country’s trade surplus sharply rose to DKK 343.7 billion from DKK 228.6 billion in a year earlier.
