Denmark's seasonally adjusted goods and services trade surplus narrowed to DKK 22.2 billion in August 2025, from an upwardly revised DKK 34.9 billion in the previous month. Exports fell by 5.3% month-over-month to DKK 172.5 billion, primarily driven by a decline in both goods exports (-6.8%) and services exports (-2.9%). Meanwhile, imports rose by 2.1% from a month earlier to DKK 150.3 billion, mainly due to higher goods imports (4.9%), although services imports (-1.0%) decreased. For the first eight months of the year, Denmark recorded a trade surplus of DKK 205.8 billion, widening from DKK 195.4 billion in the same period of 2024.
