Croatia’s trade deficit rose slightly to EUR 1.5 billion in February 2025 from EUR 1.4 billion in the corresponding month a year earlier, according to preliminary data. Considering January to February, the country’s trade deficit widened to EUR 2.9 billion from EUR 2.7 billion in the same period last year. Exports increased 9.5% year-on-year to EUR 4 billion, driven by higher sales to non-EU countries (14.1%) and EU member states (7.3%). Meanwhile, imports grew 8.6% to EUR 6.8 billion, amid increased purchases from non-EU countries (37.2%) and EU member states (2.2%).
