Consumer prices in Ivory Coast declined 0.8% year-on-year in July 2025, deepening the fall from a 0.6% decrease in June. This marks the third consecutive month of consumer deflation and the steepest decline since May 2018, as prices fell across most major subcomponents. Notably, health costs dropped 3.2%, followed by housing utilities (-1.7%), while food and non-alcoholic beverages fell 1.2%, reflecting easing prices for essential everyday items. Other categories also experienced declines, including transport (-1%), furniture, household items and routine household maintenance (-2.3%), recreation and culture (-1.4%), and clothing and footwear (-0.5%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices edged up 0.1%, slowing from a 0.3% increase in the previous month.
